Lüftner Cruises: the history
The company is based in Innsbruck, Austria. Lüftner Cruises has an international reputation and is keen to showcase the world's treasures to its many passengers. The company is committed to preserving the environment and reducing its impact on it, which is why it has been awarded the "Green Certification" label by Green Globe. This is a recognition of the importance of preserving and protecting the planet. Lüftner Cruises goes even further and allows its passengers to make donations to offset the CO2 emissions emitted during their cruise trip.
The fleet
The Lüftner Cruises fleet is made up of 16 ships that offer the perfect combination of luxury, refinement and comfort. Each ship gives a new surprise, each corner a different view and each cruise a new encounter.
In 1997, the company's first ship, the MS Amadeus, made its debut. Renovated in 2014, it carries 146 passengers. It was followed a year later by the MS Rhapsody, which welcomes the same number of passengers and which also underwent a major renovation in 2014.
From 2001 to 2009, the MS Amadeus Classic, MS Amadeus Symphony, MS Amadeus Royal and MS Amadeus Diamond joined the Lüftner Cruises fleet. All four have been completely renovated in recent years to the delight of the more than 140 passengers who board.
The MS Amadeus Silver family will be added to the Lüftner Cruises fleet between 2013 and 2016: the MS Amadeus Silver, MS Amadeus Silver 2 and MS Amadeus Silver 3 bring 5-star comfort to their passengers.
The MS Amadeus Elegant and MS Amadeus Brilliant carry 150 passengers and take them on a journey of discovery along the river banks of Europe.
In 2017, the MS Amadeus Provence joined the Lüftner Cruises family for the pleasure of its 140 passengers, who embark on a comfortable and luxurious cruise full of discoveries.
The MS Amadeus Queen and MS Amadeus Star will make their debut in 2018 and 2019 respectively, carrying 164 passengers.
Lüftner Cruises continues to expand its fleet and has welcomed the MS Amadeus Imperial in 2020. This ship carries 168 passengers and a wine bar as well as a fitness room and spa for the ultimate cruise experience.
Finally, the MS Amadeus Cara has been added to the fleet in 2021. It is a modern ship with a contemporary design welcoming 168 passengers who discover the world on board a luxurious ship.

A cruise with Lüftner Cruises is the best way to awaken your taste buds and take them on a journey of discovery. The price of your Lüftner Cruises cruise also includes all your meals, so you benefit from an "All Inclusive" formula.
Breakfast is served daily in the main restaurant of each ship. Lunch will be served as a buffet. You can choose from a wide selection of products: salad, meat, fish and many desserts. Finally, for dinner, you can choose from the à la carte menu with five different dishes. Take a seat at the table with the other passengers to share a warm and friendly moment.
The ship's chefs are happy to prepare new Austrian recipes for you every day. If you are on a special diet, please let the company know before you leave so that the chefs can prepare dishes to suit your diet. Vegetarian dishes are also available, but please note that any changes to the menu will incur an additional charge to the price of your cruise.
Drinks during your Lüftner Cruises
The drinks menu leaves you spoilt for choice when making your selection. There's nothing like a refreshing drink back on the ship after a great day out. Lüftner Cruises offers a well-stocked wine list, and discerning palates will be happy to choose from the ship's finest wines. At the end of each meal, coffee and tea are offered to help you digest. Please note that other beverages (alcohol, soft drinks or juices) are not included in the price of your cruise and will require an additional charge.
